I can't send emails (0x80042109), what should I do?

There are two things to check if you can't send email:

  1. Please ensure that you have "SMTP Authentication" enabled in your email client (i.e. Outlook) for the account, this is required for our mailservers to authenticate you as a user of our services. If you're not sure how to do this, try searching "SMTP Authentication" in the help section of your email client.

  2. Some ISP's block access to 3rd party mailservers, to get round this try using SMTP on port 26 instead of 25 for the email account.

If you still cannot sent you may need to use your ISP's SMTP server for all outgoing email, you will need to contact your ISP for the settings you need for this.
