This is a reminder that we run brute force protection on our web hosting service. Brute force protection safe guards your web hosting account from hackers trying to crack your web hosting account passwords, once a set limit of failures is reached the IP address attempting access is blocked.
We’re seeing an increasing number of support tickets where customers are getting locked out so we wanted to remind you of this protection, if you’re not sure of a password and don’t get it within a few attempts then the best course of action is to reset it. If it’s an email account password then you can reset this from your cPanel control panel. If it’s a cPanel password then you can reset this from your customer portal.
Should you find yourself blocked for incorrect password attempts we can remove you from the firewall, simply raise a support ticket detailing your account and your IP address.
