New more powerfull backup servers!

We’ve just installed new backup servers to replace the existing ones for our R1Soft CDP backup system, this will bring improvements to the speed backups are taken and also the time it takes to restore files.

As there’s lots of servers to migrate over to the new systems, we will be doing it over the the coming week. The only negative is that the existing backup seeds will be lost so once the server that you’re hosted on goes live, you will have a restore point from that day and the 14 days will build up again from then onwards.

We take web hosting backups very serious and after a few issues on performance with  restoring from customers cPanel’s, we felt it it necessary to invest in the new hardware.
